Recipes using apricots
/ˈeɪprɪkɒt/
A juicy, soft fruit of an orange-yellow colour resembling a small peach.
Apricots are a really good source of vitamin A. According to some of the research I saw, three apricots will give you 50% of your recommended daily allowance (RDA). Good things really do come in small packages
They are also low in calories and carbohydrates and are an amazing source of potassium. 1 apricot has 91mg of potassium. That helps to regulate blood pressure but also good for our nervous system. Levels of potassium get low after “excessive consumption of alcohol”. Ever heard the old wives take about having a banana to fix the thumping hangover headache? Well bananas are rich in potassium too so maybe that’s the truth behind the story.
