Recipes using Blueberries
/ˈbluːb(ə)ri/
Blueberries are rich in vitamin C. They also contain betacarotene and are one of the richest sources of antioxidants. The blue pigment in the skin is called ‘anthocyanin’ and is thought to help protect against cancer*. They are mainly native to North America but are pretty easy to grow in the UK. Our two small bushes are grown in large planters and need very little looking after – just clip off the dead leaves from time to time and protect the pot against snow, hard frost and little girls looking for a mid morning snack!
