A tropical tuber with a slightly sweet flesh.
I don’t think the definition above does this vegetable justice. It’s a brilliantly nutritious root vegetable with a gorgeous sunset colour flesh that’s so much creamier than even Maris Piper potatoes. It’s packed with vitamin C and fibre and potassium but also (because of the orangeness) full of betacarotene which is linked to cancer prevention.
